3D Modeler

Description:
Modeling is one of the stages in creating a computer generated 3D animation. It is the stage that takes place after the storyboard is approved and the characters are designed on paper in a studio environment. Modelers must have a keen sense of volume, geometry, and mass. This is true for all modelers, even the ones working on Computer Aided Design (CAD) or Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) or on computer generated three dimensional models like that of Pixar's Toy Story.
3D computer modelers use three dimensional graphics software to build models on the computer via geometric structures. The modeler builds characters and scenes in parts, and then assembles them together to make the final scene. The modeler furnishes a final built character for the animator who will bring the character to life in accordance with the script.
