Pipeline Setup Technical Director
Description:
The Pipeline Setup Technical Director provides direct and daily technical support to 3D and 3D productions. He or she examines problems, identifies causes, and implements solutions. The Pipeline TD creates specific job setups and provides support for the setups throughout the production. The pipeline TD indentifies inefficiencies in the production pipeline and proposes and designs solutions. He or she also assists digital artists with software-related problems. Pipeline TD's go on rounds with the head TD to assist with problems. The pipeline TD implements and maintains each department's standards. He or she acts as a liaison responsible for communication issues and problem resolution. The PSTD works with various departments - including software, production, art, systems, editorial, and production management - to help identify studio-wide needs for workshops and reference documents.
Entry level salary range:
$40,000-$60,000
