Software Developers provide support by designing and maintaining proprietary tools used in animation production. Software Developers assist Senior Software Developers as necessary. They maintain external industry contacts to keep current on recent research and industrial developments. They attend industry conferences for current information on the field. Software Developers may find employment at production studios where they may work in the Research and Development Department helping to manufacture new proprietary software. Alternatively, Software Designers might develop retail software for the general public.
