Course Project: Simple E-Commerce Site
Due Monday, June 20th at the start of class
General Overview
Construct a simple e-commerce web site that is hosted
on your laptop and can be accessed by a web browser.
Minimal Requirements
- Work with one other partner on this project.
- Utilize the following technologies:
Apache Tomcat, JSP, Java, SQL, Access and a web browser.
- All functionality is accessible through a web site.
- The web site supports two types of registered users: a customer or
an administrator.
- A registered user has an account name and a password.
- Anyone (even an unregistered user)
may browse the general site without logging in.
- The site contains 2 or more order pages that can be accessed
without ordering information getting lost.
- A customer must be logged
in to finalize his or her purchase on the check-out page.
- A customer is able to change his or her password.
- The administrator is able to add, delete, modify or list
customer accounts.
- The administrator is able to view a summary of all past
sales.
- The administrator is able to identify products that
are low in stock.
- The administrator is able to examine and modify
information pertaining to the different products for sale.

What to Submit
- The generated code. E-mail this
to both Jack (whitehouse@montana.edu) and John.
- A user's manual for a customer. Explain and illustrate
the available functionality.
- A user's manual for the administrator. Explain and illustrate
the available functionality.
- On Monday, June 20th, each team will spend 30 minutes
demonstrating their e-commerce site to the class.
