  • Design of efficient algorithms (heuristic, approximate, randomized, partially
    enumerative, etc.) for hard topological graph problems, e.g., planarization,
    crossing number, thickness.
    
  • Determine topological properties (crossing number, skewness, thickness)
    of interconnection networks such as the mesh of trees, de Bruijn,
    shuffle-exchange, and various hypercubic networks proposed as models
    for parallel computing architectures.
    
  • Determine linear layout properties ( length, range, and efficiency) of families
    of graphs such as the mesh of trees, de Bruijn, and hypercubic graphs.
