Midterm Review

You may bring one sheet of 8.5 by 11 notes to the exam. The exam will take place Wednesday, March 24th from 9:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. in EPS 103. In general, the midterm covers Chapters 4 - 10 and the material that we covered in class and lab since the first midterm. John will have extra office hours on Tuesday, March 23rd from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. since he will be out of town on Monday, March 22nd.

• The concept of an ADT (Abstract Data Type).
• The List ADT.
• Array implementations of the List ADT.
• Linked implementations of the List ADT.
• Iterators - External and Inner Class.
• Statement Counts and Big Oh.
• Recursion.

Possible Types of Questions

• Given some code, explain what it does.
• Given a recursive method, explain what it does.
• Given some buggy code, fix it so that it does what it is intended to do.
• Write code dealing with the List ADT and/or iterators.
• Solve problems involving statements counts and Big Oh notation.
