Midterm Review
You may bring one sheet of 8.5 by 11 notes to
the exam. The exam will take place Wednesday, March 24th
from 9:00 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. in EPS 103.
In general, the midterm covers Chapters 4 - 10 and
the material that we covered in class and lab since
the first midterm. John will have extra office hours
on Tuesday, March 23rd from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. since he
will be out of town on Monday, March 22nd.
Midterm Topics
- The concept of an ADT (Abstract Data Type).
- The List ADT.
- Array implementations of the List ADT.
- Linked implementations of the List ADT.
- Iterators - External and Inner Class.
- Statement Counts and Big Oh.
- Recursion.
Possible Types of Questions
- Given some code, explain what it does.
- Given a recursive method, explain what it does.
- Given some buggy code, fix it so that it does
what it is intended to do.
- Write code dealing with the List ADT and/or iterators.
- Solve problems involving statements counts and
Big Oh notation.
