CS 440

Laboratory Materials
- The laboratory portion of the CS 440 has two parts: a weekly lab time
where you will have access to the laboratory facilities, a teaching assistant
and an organized activity; and a series of programming assignments that
you will be working on continuously during the semester.
- There may be work assignments associated with the labs other than
the programs. These assignments may be prepartory to a lab and due
at the time of the lab, or they may be due at some time after the lab.
- Due to limitations of TA time available, a random set of assignments
will be grades for each assignment. The final project will be
graded for everyone.
- There may be quizzes in the labs at the discretion of the teaching
assistant.
- The due dates for programs will be set so that you generally have at
least two weeks from the time an assignment is made until it is due. However,
your last opportunity to meet with your TA will be one week before the due
date, so it is important that you start the assignment and have any questions
ready one week before the due date.
- All laboratory work will be due at the beginning of your laboratory
time period on the due date.
Grading
The labs will be graded on a scale of 20-30 points, depending on their
difficulty. Program design, is important and counts, as does programming
style.
