For the remainder of the semester, I would like to pair students who have a good comprehension of the CS 221 concepts with students who would like some extra assistance.
If you are interested in participating in this experiment, please send John (paxton@cs.montana.edu) an e-mail no later than Friday, March 25th with your name and lab time in it. Mention in the e-mail whether you would like to serve as a tutor or receive extra assistance. The experiment will begin the week of Monday, March 21st.
Based on interest, I will try to pair as many people as possible. I will choose the pairings and will pair people who are in the same lab section. If you are paired, you are required to do the following:
Each participant should send John an individual e-mail once a week (on or before Saturday) summarizing what you are your partner have done during the past week with respect to each of the above three activities.
If you are selected to be a tutor, you will receive a 2% extra credit bonus for the course and consolidate your understanding of the course material by having to explain it to someone else. If you receive the extra assistance, you should gain a better understanding of the course material.
Thank you!
