Grading
The final grade will be determined according to the following percentages:
Grades will be curved. In general, the A is awarded for excellence. If you earn an A it is an indication that I believe you could pass a PhD qualifying examination over this topic. The B is awarded for very good work and is an indication that you should have no trouble answering questions on a Master's oral. Grades lower than B indicate that you will need to do more preparation to ensure that you can pass a Master's oral over the theory portion. |
