Course Outcomes
At the end of the course, students should be able to
- Understand how to write an effective proposal
- Write an effective proposal for an interdisciplinary project
- Understand how to make an effective PowerPoint presentation
- Make an effective PowerPoint presentation for an interdisciplinary project
- Understand how to make an effective poster
- Understand how to write an effective report
Grading
- 10% - demonstrate how to make a poster using software of your choice.
- 10% - demonstrate and submit a well constructed, mock-up of what
your final poster for the Research Celebration might look like.
Use the material covered on October 9th as a guideline.
- 15% - demonstate and submit a well constructed, 10-15 minute,
sample PowerPoint presentation on a topic of choice.
Use the material covered on October 30th as a guideline.
- 50% - submit a well-written technical proposal that describes
your intended project.
Use the material covered on September 11th as a guideline.
- 15% - demonstrate and submit a well constructed, 20-30 minute,
PowerPoint presentation on your proposed project. Other faculty
will be invited to attend.
