The purpose of this Initiative for Future Agriculture and Food Systems (IFAFS) Precision Agriculture project is to develop a 3-D visualization tool for use over the Internet that will facilitate research, teaching, and outreach activities. The objective of this Master’s project is to design and implement a database for the IFAFS project. This database provides data storage for website display and data mining and data warehouse activities. It also integrates current applications. Design techniques include investigating the IFAFS project data and creating a data description, ER diagrams, and normalization. In addition to setting up the database, the project will include developing the initial scripts for automatic entry of data into the database and enhancing the database functionality of the current website. All work was done in PHP and MySQL
