KompoZer Installation

1. Download version 0.7.10 of KompoZer for your platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) and save the downloaded version onto your desktop.
2. Right click on the downloaded version and extract the files. I chose to extract the files to C:\Program Files.
3. Delete the original file that you downloaded. It is no longer needed.
4. For convenience, navigate to C:\Program Files\KompoZer 0.7.10 and create a shortcut for the KompoZer program. Move this shortcut to your desktop.
5. Run KompoZer by clicking the shortcut on your desktop.

Class Exercise

1. Create a web page that contains a picture of the flag of Sweden. Place this flag at the top of the page and label it as Original Flag.
2. Replicate the flag as closely as possible using tables. Place this flag at the bottom of the page and label it as Duplicated Flag.

Helpful Hints

• The height and width of the original flag can be determined in KompoZer.
• The colors can be matched using Window's paint program or a color picker such as Pixie (PC) or Color Picker (Mac).
• Exact coordinates can be found using Window's paint program or Photoshop.
