Short Biography:
I received a B.S. degree in computer science from
The Ohio State University
in 1985 with minors in German and Math. I received
the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from
The University of Michigan
in 1987 and 1990 respectively. My Ph.D. research at
The University of Michigan Artificial Intelligence Laboratory
involved machine learning.
Since 1990, I have been employed by Montana State University,
where I currently serve as a Computer Science Professor and
Founding Director of the Gianforte School of Computing.
