Netscape 4.79 | Internet Explorer
If your browser is Netscape 4.79, follow these steps to determine your Java Runtime Plug-in version:
Select the Edit menu
Choose Preferences...
Then choose Advanced
Then click the box to Enable Java Plugin. If this feature is not active (i.e., clicking the box does not result in a check mark), you do not have any version of the Java Runtime Plug-in installed and will need to install the plug-in from the CD.
If the box is successfully "checked", click here to invoke an applet that will show your current Java Runtime Plug-in version. If the applet indicates that you have an older version of the plug-in, you will need to install the plug-in from the CD.

Select the Tools Menu
Choose Internet Options...
Then select the Advanced tab
Scroll down the Settings list to determine whether the Java 1.4.1_01 Runtime Plug-in is available and/or enabled. If the Java Plug-in is not shown, or an older version of the Java Plug-in is shown, you do not have the necessary plug-in and will need to install it from the CD.
