Using the FSA Applet to Run FSAs

To type characters on the input tape: simply type while the FSA is not in the Run mode. You cannot type characters that are not part of the alphabet of the FSA as determined by the arrow labels.

To run an FSA on an input string: click the "Run" tab, continue to click the "Step" button until the FSA has accepted or rejected, then click the "Step" button once more to reset the FSA.

To clear the input tape: click the "Clear" tab, select the "Clear Tape" option.
