Biofilms: The Hypertextbook

The hypertextbook concept is being applied to the topic of biofilms, a discipline outside of computer science. This effort represents a great test of the hypertextbook concept, because the field of biofilms is so new that there are no textbooks that cover the topic. Furthermore, the study of biofilms seems best presented in multimedia fashion, with generous use of graphics, slide shows, video clips, and active learning models of key concepts.
