Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech has done extensive research on algorithm animation, primarily focusing on the development of the TANGO, XTANGO, and POLKA systems. Additionally, they have developed an environment for building animations of parallel programs, and empirical studies of how algorithm animations work is being done. XTANGO and POLKA run on UNIX an X Windows. POLKA is the newer system which includes SAMBA, a front-end which is simple to learn, yet powerful. If you are running X Windows, click here to go directly to some XTANGO animations.
