Spring Break Trip

Each spring break a few of our members jump in a car or hop on a plane and visit a tech hub city somewhere in the US! The trip includes tours of various tech companies, meeting with professionals in the field and of course lots of fun!

Code24 Hackathon

A 24-hour event where small teams get together to build an app, game, or other project from the ground up. After coding through the night each project is evaluated, and prizes are given out.

ACM Fall Coding Challenge

Students form teams of 3 and have limited time and resources to complete as many programming challenges as possible.

Workshops

Throughout the year ACM partners with and hosts a variety of workshops. These events help to strengthen students' skills and expand their knowledge of programs and resources out there. Past workshops include an intro to GitHub and a crash course on whiteboarding.

Hour of Code CS Education Week Event

Each year MSU hosts young students from around Montana in an introductory coding challenge. ACM helps to facilitate the event, running the coding exercises which help to introduce Montana's K-12 to code.

Outreach to Local K-12 Schools

ACM also does a variety of outreach events each year, partnering with local schools to help teach students and get them excited about coding!
