ACM Positions

President

The president sets the overall tone and message for the club, including the agenda of what they would like to see within the semester. Makes major decisions revolving around all channels - financial, social, technical. Runs week to week meetings and comminicates with the Faculty advisor about events ACM can help to facilitate.

Vice President

The vice president supports the president, and helps to manage all interanl functions. Schedules and creates agendas for all executive meetings, and meets with the president to discuss the semester agenda. Works with all other officers to ensure smooth group collaboration. Runs meetings if the president is unavailable.

Treasuerer

Treasurer manages the financial side of the club. Attends any meetings or events required by the university in response to financial information. Fills out the club funding request every semester, and works with the president and vice president to discuss any events that may require funding. Presents the financial roatmap for the year to the excutive board. Trains the future treasuerer to ensure a smooth transition.

Communication Director

Communication Director Manages the Technical and Social side of the club. Sets out communication directives based upon presidential vision. Works to establish/create new communication channels between club and the outside. Attends executive meetings required by MSU for the club if the president is unavailable, brings in that experience back to the executive board. Talks with Shar about new and interesting ways of promoting the club.

Technical Chair

Technical Chair is the secondary communicator/manager for the technical side. Takes a hand in both our web development team, and manages our github community. Works to help with Hackathon, Whiteboard Interviews, and other technical content done by the club.

Social Chair

Social Chair is the secondary communicator/manager for the social side. Helpsrun both social media, and coordinates all community building activities (Beginning of year Meet& Greet, Professor Joke Awards, Cookies and Cram).

Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator develops the social media image of ACM, based upon the vision of the president. Posts to Instagram on a regular basis, and reminds people about upcoming events or unique things happening in computing. Posts detailed thanks to our guest hosts and explanations about meetings on Linkedin.

AWC Liason

A unique position, as this individual serves on the board of both ACM and AWC. Their primary responsibility is to report back to the ACM executive board about what AWC is planning on doing, and coordinating with their officers about ACM’s plans. Helps coordinate events that involve both clubs.
