Garret Jones
Garret lost his left leg to cerebral palsy at age three. He’s now 20 years old and loves to snowboard. Kevin made this featured board for Eagle Mount who then donated it to Garett. In general, snowboards are chosen on the basis of the rider’s height, weight, and ability level. While designs are similar, details separate choices into the following three styles: free-style, free-riding, and alpine and race boards.Garret has taken up racing, so his board is a
slender, sleek race style board. To adapt the boards, Kevin attaches
special bindings that can hold the loose boot that fits the prosthetic
foot and leg. Also, the bindings on the board can be moved to help with
balance. He may also add outriggers to help some adaptive riders
balance themselves while they board.
