Kevin started snowboarding at the age of 10 within two seasons he was an avid snowboarder and began participating in minor competitions. However at the age of 14 Kevin was in a car accident and his left leg had to be amputated. Rather than let this hold him back from his passion he began to research how people in similar situations were able to continue snowboarding.
After stumbling upon the Eagle Mount website and learning about adaptive snowboarding he decided to try his hand at making adaptive boards of his own. After a few tries he eventually perfected the technique, by using a specialized mount and prosthetic leghe was able to get back on his board and hit the slopes. In 2003 he started a flickr account to share his success with others and began to receive requests from other riders asking where they could find adaptive boards and information on how to adapt boards. In response to this flood of requests he started LogicBoard in 2007 and the rest is history.
My name is Kevin Cooper and I founded LogicBoard in 2007, our mission is to refit donated boards for adaptive riders and provide resources to beginning adaptive riders. We work with Eagle Mount to distribute boards, and we also run camps, give talks and host free workshops. If you have an old board that you would like to donate please contact me through the email address listed at the bottom of this page.
