We are
Sam and Sara Wiley, owners of the Wiley Bookshop. In 2009, we inherited the store from our parents. Though we both graduated from Montana State University, Missoula has always been our home. Along with our passion for books,
we enjoy extreme mountain biking. Whenever you're in the bookshop, feel free to stop and chat with us; we're always up for a good conversation.

Our parents
took over the Wiley Bookshop in 1981, becoming the second generation of Wileys to own the store. Rich and Liz Wiley met during their junior year at University of Montana, and were married shortly after their graduation. Although now retired, Rich and Liz enjoy hiking through the Montana wilderness and taking road trips to National Parks.

Originally
a general mercantile when Missoula was founded, the building that now houses the Wiley Bookshop has undergone many transformations.
After burning to the ground in 1907, the
brick structure that currently exists was built. Purchased as a furniture store in 1954, the Wiley Bookshop has maintained much of the historic structure and brickwork detail from the construction in 1907.
