Faculty Involved:   John Sheppard

The Numerical Intelligent Systems Laboratory is currently performing collaborative research with Boeing Research and Technology in applying Bayesian technologies to develop dynamic fault isolation manuals. DFIM are coupled with existing maintenance procedures for equipment maintenance and diagnosis.

Support:

This research is supported by Boeing R&D funding and currently covers one and a half graduate students.

Opportunities:

The work being performed under this program is unique in that it provides opportunities for advanced research in probabilistic modeling and fault diagnosis as well has having direct application on real-world systems. Currently, we are looking for another graduate student (MS or PhD) to work on this program; however, only US citizens or permanent residents are eligible.
