Distance Learning
The projects of the Webworks Laboratory lend themselves well to distance learning.
The Computer Science Department at MSU has projects in distance learning (not
directly related to Webworks) underway. The resources and expertise of these efforts
are available to the Webworks team. Many of the components developed under the
Webworks umbrella will find their way into courses taught via the web in the department.
Accelerated Computer Science Courses
Current courses taught over the web are CS 301 and 302. These are accelerated
courses intended to bring prospective graduate students with undergraduate degrees in
other disciplines up to speed in computer science. The courses are offered on campus
and in other locations.
Course material has been developed using Macromedia software. To view these
courses, you need to have the two plugins from Macromedia called "Director" and
"Authorware." More about the necessary configuration for viewing
these courses and access to the course content can be found by clicking here.
