Designing for the Web
Hey, it's different than other design
The invention of the internet allowed for the creation of a unique global marketplace that is available to anyone with online access. Distance is no longer such a limitation for marketers. The internet has unleashed businesses from the limits of their locales by creating a method of reaching audiences and potential consumers all over the world. By building a website, businesses have a new way to advertise their goods and services at a small cost. The global marketplace that developed with the internet also created an opportunity for marketers to gather extensive amounts of information on consumer behavior. By using online information about the purchasing behavior of an individual, businesses can now target their advertisements at potential consumers via the various methods of online communication, such as email, and pop-ups. The web’s continually growing marketplace has increased communication from businesses to the consumer.
