Biofilm Engineering Education

a collaborative project with MSU's

Center for Biofilm Engineering

and the

Webworks Laboratory

The Project

This is new project just in the exploratory stages is a collaborative effort between the Center for Biofilm Engineering (CBE) at Montana State University and the Webworks Laboratory.   The objective of this project is the creation of web-based educational resources for the teaching and learning of targeted aspects of biofilm engineering.

Principal Investigators

The principal investigators on the project are Dr. Al Cunningham of the Center for Biofilm Engineering Dr. Rocky Ross, director of the Webworks Laboratory, and Ms. Frances Goosey, research scientist in the Webworks Laboratory.    Content expertise for the project will be the domain of Al Cunningham, whereas the expertise for the design, implementation, and delivery of the resulting web-based materials will lie with the Webworks Laboratory.  Frances has already implemented and refined a fugacity model demonstrating some of the modeling techniques that can be performed on the Web.

Snapshots of Biofilms

The current focus of the project is on the design and implementation of a hypertextbook on Biofilms.  Read about it here.
