What Makes it Different?

Web design is a special type of design that requires the knowledge to create a pleasing web page that is also completely functional.

Web design requires the artist to have the artistic skill to make a competitively pleasing site, but they also need the programming knowledge to represent all of the website features. Unlike marketing design or graphic design where they use colors shapes and computer design program, web designers must have an understanding of the art and the programming.

Why is the Internet Unique?

The internet is a unique network because it is completely interactive. Unlike television where there is a one way broadcast from station to television, the internet offers a wide variety of interaction. Any user from any computer can upload any movie or article they want to any site that allows that interaction. Many things in the world have changed due to the interactivity of the internet.

In the 2008 election, the Democratic Party got their poll information from a website created for Barack Obama's campaign.

Websites such as Facebook, and Youtube have become very popular due to their simple interactive nature. Youtube for its video veiwing, and Facebook for social networking.
