Design Process
Steps to Creating a Successful Website
Recognize

The first step in designing a website
is to recognize what the
goal of the customer is. What do they want to accomplish? What do they
want their readers to think/feel?
Questions like these are very important in order for the
designer to realize the objective of the customer.
Brainstorm

After the objectives of the customer are
recognized, the
patron and designer must get together and brainstorm the specific
details of the
website. Color and text are some of many details that need to be
discussed and
decided upon before the designer begins the website.
Implement

After all the details about the website
are worked out, the
designer can begin work on the website. By establishing all the details
about the website in the brainstorm phase, the designer can build the
website
uninhibited.
Troubleshoot
This step is an unfortunate, but necessary part to any
project. Not only will the designer have to check all his/her work
before submitting it to the customer, but will also have to
validate that no bugs or errors remain hidden in the code. This step
can be fortunate for the designer, however, because after the website
is built, he/she may still be required to keep the website running
functionally.
What is Design Process?
Each step has an important part in the creation of a clean and profesional final project. Design process is not only a good way for the designer and customer to specify what will be included in the project, but also serves as a checklist so the designer does not forget anything. The design process is one of the most important parts of making a website because everything that will be included in the final website will be written down. This way, the designer can fully note what he/she needs to accomplish for the website; also the customer gets to see exactly what the designer has planned and can make any final requests.
