Enabling Java in Internet Explorer

• Select the Tools menu

• Choose Internet Options...

• Click the Advanced tab

• Scroll through the Settings window and ensure that the following box is checked:

  • Use JRE 1.x.0_nn for <applet> (requires restart). Note that x must have a value of 4 or higher (e.g., JRE 1.4.0_01).

• If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, you may need to check this box:

  • JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled (requires restart)
